Mr & Mrs Questad // A Washington Hilltop Wedding

In His time, in His time,
He makes all thing beautiful in His time.
Lord, my life to you I bring,
May each song I have to sing,
Be to you a lovely thing, in your time.

There was hardly a dry eye as the strains of this old hymn floated across the Washington hilltop and settled on all who gathered. David & Julie have waited for this day for so long, and their joy was contagious! I definitely found myself tearing up behind my camera more than once throughout the day.

The property where David & Julie got married is owned by some cousins who will be building a home there soon. It was the *perfect* location for this celebration!

A few months ago, we headed up into the wilderness of Washington for David & Julie’s engagement session. The wildflowers were out, and in full bloom, and made every moment of their session absolutely magical. (Using that word just for you, David!) Ever since their engagement session, I’ve been just that much more excited for their wedding! If I haven’t mentioned it enough lately, I love the time I get with my couples during engagement sessions.

The day of the wedding dawned warm and sunny, but absolutely pleasant still as long as you stuck to the shade. Seriously, we couldn’t have ordered better weather!

I have to take a moment to talk about their cake!! Not only is it an incredible idea, but the flowers that graced the cake are from Julie’s personal collection. She’s traveled the world, and has been saving and drying flowers for years. I think I squealed like a little girl when I found out about the origins of the flowers!

David & Julie, I am SO HAPPY for you two as you start this new chapter together. Everything about your day was God honoring, and I know that is how your marriage will be. I cannot wait to see how He uses the two of you and your marriage for His glory! Congratulations once again!
