I really don’t think there is anything better than photographing your friends. I mean, you get to take pictures (score), you get to hang out and chat up a storm (score), and you get to laugh a lot (double score)! You just can’t go wrong!

This stunning lady is graduating with her nursing degree in just a little over a month, and it was such and honor and privilege to capture this season of her life! We started her session buried deep inside a blossoming apple tree and then proceeded to traipse all around the wildlife refuge, stopping whenever I yelled out “wait!! The light here is PERFECT!” (Which definitely happened a lot.) I’m telling you, the girl is a trooper to put up with me, not to mention how incredible she was pulling a freaking wagon full of all her nursing school books!! We definitely got our workout in that evening, plus gave a little blood to the friendly (??) mosquitoes buzzing all around us.

Mayzie, girl, I love ya. I am so thankful for your friendship and for the many adventures we’ve been on with our men. I am *so* proud of you and all your accomplishments, and know you’re going to do great things in this life and with this talent that God gave you. I can’t wait to see what the next year brings for you!
