Stephanie & Khassada // A Girl and Her Horse
Once upon a time, I was a little girl who loved horses.
Then I grew up and became a big girl who loved horses, but who also knew how to use a camera. But it appeared that never the twain shall meet.
Then one day, Stephanie reached out to me and asked if I would take some photos of her and her ole boy, Khassada, and my thumbs stumbled against each other as I typed “YES!!!!” back to her.
Khassada has been in Stephanie’s family ever since he was a 2 year-old (he’s in his 20’s now), and the bond that these two share is remarkable and unmistakeable. Getting to spend the evening breathing in the smell of a horse and re-living some horse memories from my childhood was so much fun, and being able to mark this photography-bucket list item off was pretty much the best.
Stephanie, thank you thank you thank you for asking me to be a part of Khassada’s legacy. He adores you and I hope you treasure these photos forever. Hugs!
