Casey & Patricia // Married

Casey + Patricia’s wedding day was full of happy tears, so much laughter, two awesome dancing grandmas, constant hugs, and so many incredibly beautiful moments!

The ceremony and reception were held at Santiam Golf Course in Stayton, Oregon, and the Bride got ready at her almost in-law’s house just a few minutes away. The first look was a little tricky with golfers walking and driving by (and calling out their congratulations) but Casey + Patricia didn’t even seem to notice that anyone else was around! But that was the way they were the entire day…so in tuned to each other and so, so incredibly happy to finally be married.

There wasn’t a dry eye in the house as Patricia read the vows she had written, and the amount of love + support from the audience as Casey + Patricia said “I do” was absolutely tangible. The rest of the reception was full of more laughs as the new Mr + Mrs cut the cake and appeared to be thinking about smashing it into each others faces (but then thinking better of it), and more tears as the first dances came around. Patricia’s parents are no longer with them, so her dad’s brother walked her down the aisle, as well as danced with her during the daddy-daughter dance. It was such a sweet moment, and it was made all the sweeter when Casey joined in and started dancing with his and Patricia’s daughter! Then during the mother-son dance, Patricia and her son joined Casey and his mom on the dance floor. Talk about a tear jerker!

Shortly before the couple headed off for their honeymoon, I stole them away for a few more photos on the now semi-empty golf course. This is always one of my favorite parts of the day to photograph, as the couple is so much more relaxed now that the ceremony is over and they are husband + wife! (Plus, it’s really fun to remind the new Mrs what her new last name is!!)

They left for their Universal Studios honeymoon to the cheers of their family, driving Casey’s father’s old Chevy! (Which by the way, was pretty much the coolest thing ever.)

Casey + Patricia, I am so blessed by you guys and the trust you bestowed on me as you asked me to be your wedding photographer. These months of planning and dreaming with you have been wonderful, and I hope to be able to capture more special moments for you in the future! Your wedding day was absolutely beautiful, and so, so true to who you are.  I wish the absolute best for you both, in whatever life brings your way!
