Ignite & Gather Workshop // Cloverdale Chapel, Creswell Oregon
The wood stove crackled merrily as the workshop attendees gathered in the old chapel meetinghouse. Everywhere you looked, stunning florals and foliage by Ali Briskey Designs met your eyes. The cozy room soon filled with photographers and wedding planners, happily chatting away and enjoying the beautiful + yummy brunch spread from Creswell Bakery, and exclaiming over all the thoughtful details that our workshop host had put together. Nothing had been missed, from personalized place cards, to the tote bags full of goodies (like Wedventure magazine!), to the mugs proclaiming “you got this girl!”, Becky from Event Crush thought of everything.
We gathered around the big table and spent the next few hours learning from Becky, our workshop photographer mentor, Ashley Cook, and the flat lay queen herself, Rebekah from The Lettering Bee Co. Those three ladies have so much knowledge, and it was really amazing to listen to them and gain from their knowledge!
Fun side story from the workshop: the old wood stove was being a little persnickety, so I got to show off my fire building/stoking abilities and got that old puppy cranking the heat out. I guess ya can take the girl outta the farm, but ya can’t take the farm outta the girl.
The afternoon rolled around, and all of us photographers pulled out our cameras to begin the styled shoot portion of the day. Our models (who are engaged to each other in real life!) absolutely killed it, and I seriously could have photographed them + Ali’s floral creations forever. The entire experience at Ignite & Gather was so amazing, and I am so grateful to the whole creative team for the work they put in to make this workshop happen!
