Jake & Kylie // Mt. St. Helens Engagement Session

Despite the clouds, Jake & Kylie’s Mt St Helens engagement session was soooo beautiful and so so dreamy!! These two are avid outdoors people, and love exploring the great Pacific Northwest. So it was logical to shoot their engagement session somewhere that perfectly captures all the beauty the PNW has to offer. Mt. St. Helens is one of their favorite places to explore (along with their ADORABLE Golden Retrievers!) and I am sooo thankful that we made the trek out there! The weather started out a little iffy (it poured rain not 30 minutes before starting their session…eek!) but quickly turned to sunny and beautiful. (Although a little cold at the viewpoint!)

I had personally never been to Mt. St. Helens, but it was a *breathtaking* experience. And now I’m counting down the days till I can go back! (If you want to book your own engagement or couple’s session there, you can inquire with me here.)

Jake & Kylie are tying the knot this summer on the Oregon coast, and I cannot wait to be there to capture their day! I love it when my couples engagement session and wedding photos do a little compare and contrast of the beautiful PNW. I mean come on, epic mountains for the engagement session and then crashing waves at the coast for the wedding? Sign me up!!! (Oh wait, I’m already signed up haha.)

Also, can we just talk about how stunning and classy these two looked for their Mt St Helens engagement session?? Both of Kylie’s dresses were from Lulus, and photographed sooo beautifully! I could’ve stayed on that mountain top for hours longer, but I think we would’ve all frozen to death!
