The S Family
I am convinced that there is nothing better in life than photographing your people. Last week I got to photograph a *very* special season of life for my brother + sis-in-love as they (and my handsome nephew!) prepare for the arrival of their little girl next month!!
We shot their session down in the woods where my parents live, not far from the spot that Matthew + Emily fished together as they first got to know each other. And just a little further down the river is the spot where Matthew got down on one knee and asked Emily to be his wife. (Definitely the best decisions that my brother has ever made, aside from deciding to follow Jesus.) Those woods are full of so many special spots, and holding their session down there was definitely the right decision!
My mom pulled out her florist supplies and made a beautiful flower crown for Emily from baby’s breath and various flowers + greenery that we found around the house, and she, my dad, and my boyfriend all played a *huge* role in getting laughs out of Isaac. Pretty sure I had a turkey dancing on my head at one point, but hey, I’m not complaining cause just look at those toothy grins from my nephew! *Auntie Swoon* From the expert flower arranging, to the gator rides my dad provided, to the water (and support to the photographer) my boyfriend supplied, I just love how much this session became a big family escapade!
Matthew + Emily, man I love you guys. Thanks for going along with all my crazy shenanigans, for braving the super warm weather, and for allowing me to capture this precious time of life. I cannot WAIT to meet Miss Molly (and to photograph her, of course) when I fly down to see you all in just two months! You two are amazing humans, incredible parents, and two of the people who inspire me the most. Love you guys bunches!
