Derrick & Kameron // Crater Lake Oregon Adventurous Couple’s Session
Dark clouds rolled in across the lake, as thunder rumbled and lightening snaked across the sky. Derrick pulled Kameron in close as her skirt whipped around with the wind. These two traveled all the way from Tennessee, and Oregon apparently wanted to put on a show for their Crater Lake couple’s session! We started their session in a little clearing along the rim of Crater Lake. The sun was shining, and the birds and chipmunks were out to play. But as the session went on, the air around us began to change. At first, the claps of thunder were just low rumbles in the distance. But by the time Kameron changed into her second dress and we started back down the trail, the rumbles seemed almost on top of us.
The beauty of a storm over Crater Lake is something else. We could see a wall of rain over the crater, and then off to the west, the sunshine lit up the mountains in a crazy beautiful contrast. Talk about majestic! After seeing a bolt of lightening in the middle of the crater, I decided to call it quits. As much as I would’ve loved to stay there till the last bit of light faded from the sky, my client’s safety is much more important. But on the way out of the park, I found an open field that was just begging for us to stop at! I flagged Derrick & Kameron down, and we officially wrapped up their Crater Lake couple’s session with one of the most dramatic sunsets ever.
Derrick & Kameron, from the moment I first started chatting with you guys, I knew this session was going to be amazing. But nothing prepared me for how incredible it actually was! Thank you for choosing Crater Lake and for braving the thunder storm! It was so amazing meeting you guys and getting to hang out for a bit. I pray that the rest of your trip is amazing!!
