Jakob & Hailey // Lebanon Oregon Wedding

This stunning vintage country wedding was a photographer’s DREAM. (Well, at least *this* photographer’s dream.) When I first saw the ceremony site, I literally gasped out loud, it was just *that* beautiful. Hailey and her Mom did an incredible job with all the decorations, from the old, wooden dining room table for the bridal party, to the adorable signs everywhere, to the clusters of mis-matched jars on each table, to aaaallll of the flowers everywhere, and just so much more. I mean, even the trash cans where beautiful!! There was one sign that simply said “Vintage Love” which I think accurately describes the entire day.

We were so fortunate with the cooler + semi-overcast weather that day, especially since Hailey was hoping for some photos in front of the big, beautiful barn that faced to the west…aka, directly toward where the sunlight was coming from. Prior to the wedding day, she and I had come up with a plan to still get the photos she wanted (and put that barn on display as it should be!) while also making sure to get photos where everyone wasn’t squinting into the sunshine. (Hey Brides, I got your back!) But lo and behold, Mr. Sunshine decided to play peek-a-boo right as we were taking portraits, which allowed us the best of BOTH worlds! Gorgeous barn shots *and* no squinting!! You better believe I was a reeeaaaallly happy camper right about then.

The whole day went by in the typical wedding-day-blur, but it was such a beautiful blur! The ceremony was so sweet + God-honoring, and did I mention gorgeous? Pictures honestly do not do those majestic trees justice. One super sweet detail was that Hailey walked down the aisle to “Jessica’s Theme” from “The Man from Snowy River”, which is not only one of my favorite songs but it’s also the same song her Mama walked down the aisle to when she got married! *Insert my heart melting right here.* In lieu of a unity candle, Jakob & Hailey poured colored sand into a jar, which was such a beautiful symbol of the two becoming one. They were pronounced husband + wife under that giant arbor of trees, and then we moved onto the laughter + good food filled reception. The day wrapped up with getaway car decorating while I photographed some golden hour husband + wife portraits, and then it was off to start culling + editing all of the incredible photos. Huge thank you to my second shooter for the day, Ashlie, who provided some of these great shots (and awesome + creative angles!) and was my pack mule for the day!

Jakob + Hailey, you guys and the love you have for each other is so inspirational. I’m always in awe of the amazing ways God works in our lives, and His hand is very obvious in your lives + relationship. It was beyond an honor + joy to have a part in your perfect wedding day, and I know that this is just the beginning for you guys. I cannot wait to see the awesome ways God uses you in this life! Hugs!
