Josh & Meri // Washougal Washington Wedding
The words “you may now kiss your bride” are music to any groom’s ears, but for Josh, the tune was extra sweet because it was the first time he kissed his beautiful girl of 3 years. Yup, you read that right! These two lovebirds courted for 3 whole years but saved their first kiss till after they were pronounced husband and wife!
Listening to their fathers (who performed the ceremony) talk, it’s obvious that their entire relationship has been surrounded with intentionality, and being able to witness (and take part in) this incredible step they made last week was so, so special.
When I first “met” Josh & Meri over video chat, they were hanging out with their joint nephew, who’s pretty much the cutest little guy ever. And yup, you read that right too! Meri’s brother married Josh’s sister a handful of years ago, and they’re now expecting Baby #2. It was so fun to be a part of these two families coming together again!
The entire wedding day was full of Jesus, family, love, and laughter…in that order. The daddy-daughter first look was one of the sweetest that I have seen, the bride + groom portraits were filled to bursting with the anticipation of being married soon, the ceremony was God-honoring and full of laughter, the dancing at the reception was unbeatable, and the bubble exit (in front of an Anne of Green Gables-esque house) was by far my favorite exit ever.
Josh + Meri, you two are some of the sweetest souls I’ve ever met, and I am so excited to see where life takes you! Thank you for choosing me to be a part of your day…it was the biggest honor and privilege! Hugs!
