Matthew & Emily // A Farm Family & Couples Session
Evening light filtered through the trees and cows bellowed in the distance. My boots raised little clouds of dust with each step I took. I breathed deeply of the smells of the woods, fresh country air, and cattle. Call me crazy, but those are my favorite smells in the whole wide world. And that place? It’s one of my favorite places in the whole wide world.
I grew up walking and riding those dirt roads that wind through my grandparent’s property, and for most of my teenage years, my family lived on the property as well. I know those woods like the back of my hand, and I love every square inch of them.
A few weeks ago, I photographed some of my favorite humans in that favorite place of mine. My brother married the sweetest and most beautiful girl 5 and a half years ago. Since then, they’ve had 3 of the CUTEST children to ever walk the earth. Getting to photograph your own nephews & niece is something else. Capturing personalities, and just seeing their sweet faces through my lens is one of my favorite things!
