Matthew & LaNae // Government Cove Maternity Session

Matthew & LaNae’s maternity session at Government Cove just outside of Cascade Locks was all kinds of wonderful!! LaNae reached out to me a few weeks back, and said that they were wanting to have some photos taken that really showed the beauty of Oregon. As we talked about location, I threw out Government Cove as an option. I mean, it has just about everything you’d ever want…fall colors, water, a mountain range…it really can’t get much better! LaNae instantly agreed, and the session was officially on!

When Matthew & LaNae showed up at their session, I instantly felt relaxed and comfortable with them. It was as if we were old friends! As a photographer, it’s my job to make sure my couples are relaxed and comfortable. And it’s a job that I don’t take lightly at all! But when you run into a couple like these two…who just instantly make you feel at home…well, it feels like you won the lottery.

LaNae is actually a budding photographer herself, and does absolutely beautiful work! It’s taken a bit of a back burner as they prepare for their new addition, but I’m excited to connect with her more after baby joins them in the spring!

Speaking of new additions, let’s talk about their original baby for a moment! Maize was just the sweetest boy you could ever imagine, and um, stinking cute is that bowtie?! I know he’s just going to be the best big brother ever!

Matthew & LaNae, thank you so much for allowing me to capture the here and now moments for you. Government Cove has never looked quite so good. I’m so thankful that we connected, and really hope to see you again very soon!
