Mr & Mrs Jochim // Moody Elopement on the Oregon Coast
The misty haze descended down and around us as Kylie walked up behind Jake. It was the day of their elopement on the Oregon coast, and their closest family and friends were all hanging out at a little beach rental, waiting to celebrate with them. Kylie tapped Jake on the shoulder, and he turned to see her in her wedding dress for the very first time.
You’ll have to scroll down to see what happened next, but let me warn you…you might need a tissue! This whole day, from start to finish, was so beautiful and sweet. Jake & Kylie are sooo perfect together, and I loved getting to know them even better during their elopement on the Oregon coast!
A few months ago, we met up at Mt. St. Helens for their engagement session. In their engagement session blog post, I talk about how much I love the contrast of engagement photos in the mountains and wedding photos on the beach. I mean really, is there a better way to show off all the beauty the PNW has to offer?
Each time I’ve worked with Jake & Kylie, I’ve been impressed by what amazing humans they are.
Getting to meet their friends and family and watching them all interact just solidified in my mind that these are some solid people. Honestly? If I could photograph their day ten times over, I would.
Part of that might have something to do with their two sweet fur babies, Tucker and Bo. If you know me, you know that I have a 10 year old Golden Retriever named Sabrina. So getting to photograph other people’s fur babies is that much more fun, because I understand the connection! Tucker and Bo definitely tried to steal the show, but nothing could outshine Jake & Kylie’s love for each other.
To the new Mr & Mrs Jochim, congratulations again.
