Mr & Mrs Beebe // An Intimate Elopement at Smith Rock State Park

Garrett & Mandy’s intimate elopement at Smith Rock State Park last weekend was straight out of a western fairytale. Every moment was centered around the love they share for each other, and for their boys.

When Mandy first reach out to me, it was to schedule a couple’s session. After booking, however, Garrett popped the question! We upgraded to an engagement session (eek!) but kept the same plan for location and outfits. Well, as we got closer to the date, Garrett & Mandy decided they didn’t want to wait any longer to be married. So, after some discussion, they decided to go with the same outfit and location plan, and just make it an intimate elopement!

Mandy says, “Best decision ever! It was perfect!!!”

And I would absolutely agree. The rugged beauty of Smith Rock State Park, juxtaposed by Mandy’s gorgeous (and perfectly non-traditional) dress and bouquet from Ladybug Flowers, was the perfect spot for Garrett & Mandy to vow their lives to each other.

Garrett & Mandy met 2 years ago in Taylorsville CA, where they both happened to be in town for 4th of July weekend. Neither of them had been there in years, and looking back, they can see how God’s perfect timing led them to each other that weekend. They started talking on the phone, and Mandy said they “hit it off in such an unbelievable way. We got to know each other so much over the phone before we reconnected in person, which was such an amazing thing for the foundation of our new relationship.”

Watching these two join their lives together during their intimate elopement at Smith Rock was absolutely incredible.

They’re so in tune with each other, and clearly head over heels. Garrett kept commenting on how incredibly gorgeous Mandy looked, and multiple times I heard him just say, “WOW”. They’re just the cutest and sweetest couple! (Also, fun fact: they breed French bulldogs! Check their website out here.)

I have to take a moment and give a shout-out to the other vendors involved. Rev. Chris Lewis officiated, and did such an incredible job! I definitely recommend him for any brides who are still looking for an officiate. Lori, from Edge Hair & Makeup, did an amazing job as always! I worked with her earlier this year for another elopement, and it was so fun to work “together” again! (Even though I didn’t see her the day of this elopement.) And as mentioned previously, Ladybug Flowers made Mandy’s bouquet. Mandy said that she told them the location and “vibe” that she wanted, but then let them have free rein on what to create. I think we can all agree that they knocked it out of the park! So to each of these vendors, thank you for doing your part to help create an amazing experience for our sweet couple!

Garrett & Mandy, wow you guys. I just don’t even have the words to say how special your day was and how honored I am to have been a part of it. You guys (all five of you!!) hold a very special place in my heart. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for bringing me along on this adventure, and for trusting me to photograph the most important day of your lives. You are some of the kindest, most giving, sweetest people I have ever met, and I’m so happy to call you my friends!! Big, huge hugs to you all!
