Sam & Katie // Covered Bridge Anniversary Session

Anniversary session

Sam & Katie’s anniversary session last week was so beautiful, and getting to hang out with these two again was a BLAST. They tied the knot just 5 days into 2019 at a beautiful old church with a reception following at Yellow Gold Farm. We managed to mostly miss the rain on their wedding day, so I guess it was time to pay our Oregon dues at their anniversary session! We were planning to shoot the session at a nearby lake, but the pouring rain changed our plans a bit. Thank goodness we live near a whole passel of covered bridges!

But enough talk about the weather and all that jazz. Let’s talk these two! Sam & Katie have the kindest, most down-to-earth hearts I’ve ever come across. The way they interact with each other is a mixture of head-over-heels/passionately in love with each other, and joking/laughing their butts off together. Marriage looks soooo good on them!

Anniversary sessions are one of my favorite things, because we’re past all the hubbub and stress of wedding planning and into the good ole days of marriage. The couple is always so much more in-tuned with each other and relaxed, and it makes my heart sing every time! Plus, I love that they’re creating the tradition of having photos taken together, “just because”. I seriously wish every single one of my couples would book an anniversary session!

Sam & Katie, thanks for getting back in front of my camera again, and for being flexible with the change of locations! You two are so easy to hang out with and photograph, and I’m so ridiculously thankful for you both. Happy (almost) anniversary!!
