Tim & Grace // Oregon Adventure Engagement Session
This adventure engagement session in the backwoods of Oregon was my first session back after weeks and weeks of isolation. It felt SO GOOD to get behind my camera again and create! This location is one of my favorite semi-secret spots, and I love love bringing my couples here! It had been a hot minute since the last time I had been up there (even prior to COVID-19), but it is almost more beautiful than I remembered.
Y’all know how much I love an adventure engagement session, and just adventures in general! There’s just something remarkable that happens when you’ve hiked a few miles, changed into a dress behind a boulder, and then snuggled up to your love while looking over miles of wilderness. I love the way the evening light touches the tippy-tops of the trees. And how the air around you shifts as the sun sinks lower? Mmmm.
Being able to freeze some of those moments in time will be something I never take for granted.
This couple is one of those extra-ultra-special ones. Grace is my sister-in-law Emily’s younger sister, and I also shot their other sister Hannah’s engagement and wedding when she married my cousin! (Yes, my brother and my cousin both married into the same family!) It’s been so much fun to be a part of all these engagements and weddings over the years. And it’s been amazing to see my own work grow over time!
Because of the many ways our families are connected, Grace always felt like the younger sister I never had. I’ve watched her grow from a young girl into a beautiful lady. And I’d be lying if I said I didn’t get emotional during their session! I know she’s going to make Tim a wonderful wife, and I can’t wait to see her step into that role.
Tim & Grace, thank you for asking me to be a part of this journey. I treasure you guys and am praying for you in these last weeks before “I Do”. I know God is working in amazing ways through you, and I cannot wait to see how His story for you unfolds.
